Christian Counseling Studies

The Christian Counseling courses fill the need found in every church. Often, the church pastor is involved in guiding people to resolve issues that rise within the lives of his or her congregation. The curriculum at OCU provides up-to-date counseling tools to students who desire to help others. OCU does not guarantee that your congregational pastor will give you a counseling position; that is the decision of your pastor. Graduate courses does not provide you with a license to practice in the state of Texas nor any other state, every state have their own laws and regulations that must be followed before obtaining a license. Under normal circumstances, the student must earn a doctorate degree from an accredited institution and pass the state test before receiving a license to practice. Our courses are designed to assist the pastor within the church.
